Shadow drawing

I’ve seen loads of pictures of people doing this with their toys, lets hope its nice and sunny. You could use a lamp if not.

Set up some toys – action figures, dinosaurs etc.. anything with an interesting outline will make a good sillhoutte. If its sunny either set up outside or by a window or ask a grown up to set up a lamp or torch for you.

Carfeully draw around the edges of the shadows. You can then fill them in or decorate them as you want.

If you are able to do this outside, does the shape of the shadow change throughout the day? Why? If you are inside, how could you change the shape you see?
