Today’s theme is quite a challenge, taps can be very tricky as they are often made up of difficult shapes to draw. Have a look at the taps in your bathroom and your kitchen – which do you think look easier to draw? – Start with that one.
Start by working out which basic shape the tap is made from – it’s likely that your tap has a cylinder shape – which after all your practice, I’m sure you’re getting good at. Once you’ve got the main shape of the tap, you can start to look at the unusual shapes.
If you get a bit stuck, this is good one to try out the ‘loosen your line’ drawing activities on – just let go and have fun, you might this is the best way to get a good drawing of such a tricky object.
