Zentangle patterns…

This activity uses basic shapes and detailed pattens to create some really spectacular looking pictures.

There are many different ways you can do this, the easiest is to draw separate shapes – such as a page of large squares of circles then fill each one with a different pattern.

Once you’ve got the hang of that – or if that sounds too easy, you can overlap the shapes and fill each section of shapes with a different pattern. – Check out the pictures below to see how and for inspiration.

The more detail you put into your patterns, the more impressive it will look. Use colours to draw your lines or use a black pen then colour in your patterns. You don’t even have to stick to basic shapes, fill anything you like with zentangle patterns.
