Anyone can doodle, all you have to do is is put your pen or pencil on the paper and start making shapes.
Although it sounds simple, it is still a worth while activity. Doodling is thinking in disguise. You are increasing your understand of line, shape and pattern – all important parts of ‘visual language’ (Yr 6, you know what I mean!)
Use whatever you have around; pens, pencils, crayons, colours, black only – whatever you want.Just start making any shapes, don’t try to force an idea, let the doodle develop on its own.
Don’t forget to send me your pictures.
Still unsure? Check out 10 yr Joe – AKA DOODLE BOY . He started doodling and now he decorates restaurants walls and has his designs printed on bags!
